Did you already figure out what movie this post is about ?

[hint 1] It was filmed in 1959 as a black and white movie and the Digital Versatile Disc I own, really is of very poor quality, it has the flair of a super 8 copy and the black often switch to blueish but the story acts in the UK. My mind told me I could solve the mystery if there are compulsatory school uniforms, Actually the black and white makes it hard to be sure but at least the girls seem to wear pleated skirts but not of the same color and most wear white ankle socks but boys seem to be exempt from wearing anything that looks like an uniform.

I guess some of you might have seen it in a movie theater when it was released. My nephews would never watch it since its black and white and if you value your sanity you wouldn't watch a movie filmed in such out of date technology. I guess their children will tell them one day "You can't watch Star Wars since it isn't even VR ..."

Yes, its not a Hollywood movie you need to look at English movies. Yeah the only similarity is probably the word teacher in the title. It was the third movie in the carry on series.

Now you most likely will assure my nephews they are right their uncle surely isn't sane. Their uncle is German and he watches outdated carry on movies
He needs to be comitted to an asylum.

In Germany they translated 'Carry on ' into 'Ist ja irre' (Its mad)

In Germany we had multiple post war 'saboteur' movies called 'Die Lümmel aus der ersten Bank' (The bugger from the first row.) They got harshly punished with detention.
The most famous is the wartime movie 'Die Feuerzangenbowle' starring pupil Pfeiffer.

Its a classic among high school pupils. I think the first 'high' is his introduction when the teacher asks Pfeifer with one or two 'f' and he answers with three, one in front of the ei (=egg) and two after it, meaning he is written Pfeiffer. The next funny part is when the teacher explains the steam engine. Actually this movie has quite a few itelligent funny moments while the post war movies can at best be descibed as slapstick. Even the Nazis didn't use corporal punishment. They produced this movie to let people forget about the war which they were already clearly loosing by that time. Thus its actually an age regression movie without any spanking since Pfeiffer holds a doctor title as Germanist probably why they run language jokes.
