On the schools I attended, clothing with "holes" were what caused the most problem. "Shredded" jeans being the top of that list, yet oddly enough, some girls wore side-laced jeans much like Rhiana's line also provides. Here's the thing, the girl's who wore side laced jeans, you could see they didn't have any underwear on underneath, and they did wear them skin tight. Yet that was okay (this was 35ish years ago).
After that, you COULD wear musical groups t-shirts and what not, including album covers on denim jackets which sometimes had partial nudity. I don't think political activism was allowed on clothing, endorsing or defying any political group or political construct (KKK, Black Panthers, etc). |
