That's interesting to hear, because at least here the summer fashion has steamed on in the exact opposite direction during the last half a dozen years. After a few months at the beach this summer, I can only say that I was surprised. After last year, I was fairly certain that the bikinis couldn't shrink much more, but this year, it was hard to find anyone in their teens and up to around thirty who wore something notably larger than just one step from a thong. That includes my daughter who showed so much butt that it was hard to tell the color of her bikini bottom.
Needless to say, the state of fashion was a pleasant sight at the beach this year for a person with my preferences, with lots of scantily covered bottoms everywhere. Well, I do sound a bit like a creep here I presume, or just normal... I'm just wondering that since there is not much fabric left to take from, I fear a backlash next year with knee-long bikini bottoms. It's all a bit weird though. When I was a kid, men wore rather small speedos, while girls often wore full swimsuits. Now it's hard to find a man who doesn't wear trunks reaching down past his knees, while women wear practically nothing. |
