I remember watching part of a movie on TV several years ago. I believe it took place on a South Pacific island. One of the characters was a native woman who would sometimes spank her teenage daughter. She would give the command, Bend thee over!" The daughter would bend over and the mother would whack her across the seat of her dress with a wooden spoon. The spanking was never prolonged, perhaps as few as one lick, two or three, at most. Sorry, but I watched this many years ago, and don't remember the exact details. Once when there was no one around but the daughter and the family parrot, the parrot said, "Awk, bend thee over!" The daughter obeyed before she realized it was only the parrot repeating a phrase it frequently heard. |
