Adobe are withdrawing support for flash player after 31st December. Videos on older unsupported sites may then not be playable. If you are using the way back machine to access video material you might be wise to capture them onto your PC

What will happen to the chat room here? I notice it uses Adobe Flash Player.

Last time I checked (a few days after New Year) the chat room was still working. But no one came (as usual).

Adobe is one of those prrograms that was a problem from the start. The withdrawal of support is not new information,. They gave just about a years warning it was coming. Soke have already converted over to, what is it, html3?

Those who ignore the warnings, fall subject to the numerous security exploits in adobe. I haven't run adobe in over four years. I've clicked on the chat link here a couple times in the last year, but it always says "adobe required."
Close.

Flash's replacement is HTML5.

Have used Adobe Flash ever since it was first introduced (still using it now in fact) and never had any issues with it whatsoever. I also don't know anyone who has. If you know where to look you can find exploits for just about anything. For example, there are plenty available right now for Windows 10 if you know where to look.

Current version of chat room is based on Mibbit, which uses Ajax/javascript.

I agree Februs. Flash Player exploits grossly exaggerated. All kicked off by a competitor.
