Smiling Spankers?

It never ceases to amaze me that so may spanking images posted on-line are of women holding a spanking weapon and smiling as though they are posing for a wedding photo.

For me that kills the image completely. All they have to do is put on a poker face, they don't even have to pretend to look angry. The poker face says "I've heard your excuses, and I don't believe you, so you know what's coming!"

If the smiles were sinister I could understand it, but not these happy faces.

I don't pay all that much attention to whether disciplinarians are smiling or not as they impose punishment, but I see the smiling woman administering discipline differently. She is totally secure in her position and yes, she may get some enjoyment out of providing what a misbehaving man or woman clearly needs to correct their conduct. She may also be pleased at the role reversal of the traditionally subservient place of women in society.

I'm with Brosse6. If you're going to create a spanking photo, at least make it look realistic. A punishment should always have that serious element to it, thus creating an image with that certain flavour to it.

Interesting take Leslie, though I never view women as subservient, but rather powerful and authoritarian by different means to men.

I am not a fan of young female spankers either, she has to be in the role of Older Sister, Teacher, Mother, Aunt, Grandma.

I'd have to agree, possibly because there are too many videos I've seen (and quickly abandoned) where two young ladies decide on a spanking then one howls their head off like a banshee while the other makes wild exaggerated swings that barely leave a hand print. It's hard to take them seriously as a result, so I'd prefer someone who looks like they know what they're doing.

I'll have to admit I hadn't thought of things from Leslie's viewpoint and I can now see why she might feel that way. However, I think there is a difference between a smile of quiet confidence and mugging for the camera like a prom photo. And I think it is the latter that Brosse6 finds objectionable.

How is a smiling spanker UNrealistic? In my own personal experience with several spankers about to deliver one for even punitive reasons, the majority of the time, they have expressed a definite happiness over their role with a Cheshire Cat grin.

Age is irrelevant. Quality, however, is always relevant......and unfortunately rare in the typical images seen online. And a younger spanker can be even more powerful due to the departure from the expected norm.......which is why they're called 'reversals'.

The idea that "anything should always" is a certain recipe for repetition and boredom......except when 'quality' not 'formula' is the "always should be". Diverse inspiration behind art, photos, and stories results in unlimited possibilities.

I don't think that smiling makes a photo unrealistic at all - it's all about context. If ALL spanking images were of angry, stern looking people, there'd be a lot of people unsatisfied. I personally love a strict stern roleplaying spanking where everyone has the 'correct' face, but I also love a giggly, silly, fun spanking where everyone's grinning and having a good time. I agree strongly with kdpierre - if it was all the same, it'd be boring.

A smile is best for me. Tender but cruel. A young (late twenties to thirties) female is my ideal but we all have different tastes. I mean why shouldn't she smile it's not her bum thats going to suffer?

I almost always smile when I'm about to administer a spanking. And even more while I'm doing it. Why wouldn't I, when I'm enjoying myself so much?

I am the opposite, I take my pleasures seriously.

A major part of our theatre is that I pretend (or not on occasions) to be cross with my wife and she sulks and pouts wonderfully.

I would no more smile when spanking than smile whilst sipping a 1994 Chateau Latour Pauillac.
