See Through Leggings in Britain?

To tell the truth not sure what difference is between leggings and yoga pants myself. And then there are the geographic distinctions. Pantyhose being called tights in Britain while in the US tights mean something else, everything from a type of undergarment to exercise clothing and have even heard wrestling trunks referred to as tights.
The comment about containing expanding girth calls to mind what I have seen worn by some girls in track and field events, the heftier girls doing shotput or discus and squeezed into ultra-tight spandex shorts that really do seem in imminent danger of splitting!
Can you imagine what a sting a paddle would produce on a plump bottom packed into such thin and tight attire!

Me too! A couple of years back I wrote a short serial 'Yoga pants at the gym' thinking I was on safe ground to single out gym attire for special mention. Not now I wouldn't. Yoga pants, exercise leggings, cycling tights: where is the difference? I see them all around. Not complaining, mind you.

Then there's jeggings...

And jorts. That means blue jean shorts.
Slightly off the subject, but I remember when the string bikini,or in Portuguese-speaking Brazil where it originated, the "tanga" (string) that later what was called the thong bikini appeared and several names were coined for minimalist swimwear.
Ujena Swimwear started calling their some of their thong bikinis "tongas" which never caught on. I always thought of the Tongas as an island group in the Pacific.
There is no clear line between what is a string bikini and a thong. Sometimes suits are called strings if they just have string ties on the sides. And something called the "Brazilian" which seems to be more like the original tanga in that unlike the thong, while "cheeky" does have some coverage in back.
Seems safe to use "thong" for those that expose the entire bottom. But then you also have the g-string suits and the "frio dentale(also Brazilian) or floss bikini, much the same. But then again some call any skimpy two-piece a floss bikini.
And of course when you say "thong" it can mean either panties or a swimsuit.

And to further muddy the waters the Aussies call "flip-flop" sandals thongs.

Well, that would mean that an Aussie girl wearing only thongs is quite ready for her spanking

And flipflop sandals can be used for spanking. So then a girl wearing a thong (bathing suit) could get spanked with a thong(footwear)!

OMG, you just invented the perfect story title; "The Thong Thong Spanking"!
