I like your specifications, although I have long thought that a laminate of thin veneers assembled with crossing grains would make the paddle more flexible and durable. Also, for a 3/8" thickness, 1/2" holes seem a little too large, again for structural integrity. Perhaps 3/8" holes, but then no holes at all would still provide a pretty good sting.

Jokari is quite a paddle. I bought one at a flea market. One thing nice about it is that it can be left out and most people will just think it is a paddle for some kind of game, which it is. And spankos tend to recognize it for what it is. It is fun to tempt fate like that.

Just like pingpong or paddleball(the kind with the rubber ball attached) paddles, something vanilla folk would never suspect. Not like leaving a "Board of Education" inscribed paddle lying around!

Maybe I could surprise my wife by purchasinging some fresh ginger root, and after having let it lie around a day or two using it in a way she would not be expecting! My wife is from Vietnam and they often use ginger in their cooking. So, not being familiar with the term "figging" - my wife would have no reason whatsoever to suspect that I was up to something!

But - how would I get my wife´s "participation" when it was time? What in the world could I say to her? (I am assuming that she, not me, was supposed to be the sub!) How to ask?

Hmmm... "Hey Honey... How would you like to [literally] spice things up in the boudoir...?"

Great idea, SpankedJenny! One problem is that my wife is not kinky at all. Not in the slightest. But she is fond of sex! However, we have never done anything along the lines of anal play. It is just a fantasy I sometimes engage in.

My wife does often use fresh ginger in the Vietnamese cuisine she cooks for me. Maybe she would object to the "wastage" of such a good food as fresh ginger! "Galt54! Ginger is for eating not for . . . !" I can imagine her telling me in an angry voice.

Well... I guess it depends on her previous preferences, if she's prude as a nun, or if she's been open to experimenting before and don't mind having something that smarts up her rear. If not, I would advise against it. If you're both open minded, I think the best time to ask would probably be when you're in the midst of the action and you're both a bit fired up. Such things can be rather uncomfortable to discuss outside the bedroom. And being prepared to receive as well as give is often the way forward.

I guess that I am too chicken to even try. My wife has a *very* volatile temper. And she thinks that "all that kinky stuff" which I am into is really weird, or even sick. I doubt that my wife is sufficiently open-minded to let me "smart up her rear"!

Well, then I guess the only chance is to ask lovingly when you're in the midst of the action and offer "I'll go if you go". It can take the edge of it, if you're prepared to do the same and she won't feel that it's one-sided, something kinky that you're trying to impose on her. It could work, and who knows, you might discover something new that you both like.
