Several years ago I commissioned an artist who called himself endart. Some of his work can still be seen at various locations. He was really good, I thought so anyway. I would pick one of the female characters from his existing work. The way I went about it was starting out by saying I would like 5 drawings, lets say. Then I would list what I wanted for example,
Drawing 1. We see the girl coming home from school through her front door.
Drawing 2. We see the girl sitting on her bed. Her father is lecturing her.
Drawing 3. We see the girl slipping off her panties, etc., etc.
The point is I described in very close detail what I wanted to see in each drawing. This would have been in the mid 90's. I would have maybe 5 - 7 drawings made. At the time, the set would cost about $500.00. Be very specific as to what you want illustrated. Of course I wasn't trying to illustrate a story already written. I had my own scenario in my head that I wanted illustrated. What's nice about this if you have a very specific scenario, and I'm pretty picky about mine, you can have exactly what you want illustrated. |
