Overheard spankings

Hi LawnDawg, It was never wise to get caught listening or peeping in on a spanking! Since as you say if you were ever caught doing so you would get one as well! I remember once going to call on my friend Richie and as I began walking up his driveway hearing the unmistakable sound of a spanking taking place. It was coming from his bedroom; the window being wide open (as you say back in the days before air conditioning). I was so tempted to get closer and even see if I could peep through the window, but knowing what the consequences would be if I was caught! So I quickly retreated listening to the sounds of the spanking and Richie's howling and sobbing as I did so! His younger brother Lance told me Richie had his bare butt paddled for back chat and not tidying his room when told to! It was with one of those fli-back toy paddles that many kids had back then. He went over his Mom's knee for"one hell of a BLISTERING" according to Lance, since backchat was a real no-no in their house! A golden memory from times gone by!

As stevenr says the downside of hearing other kids get their spankings and I heard plenty of them I can tell you, was that they for sure would hear yours!

I think myrkassi parents back in the 50's, 60's and 70's were certainly not shy about letting the neighborhood know they were serious when it came to administering corporal punishment!

Years back, I lived in an apartment building. There was a lesbian couple on the third floor that wore matching fatigues on the weekend. The larger brunette was around 5' 9" and was loud and a bit scary, even for me! Her partner was a TV reporter for a local station and was about 5' 3" and cute as a button. Many a day, I came home from work at 5PM to the sounds of the little one getting a very sound and lengthy, obviously bare-bottom spanking. The smaller woman cried so sweetly as she was spanked. After what seemed like an hour, the sounds from down the hall became more vocal and you could tell someone, the smaller one, was now enjoying her treatment, which now did NOT sound exactly like a spanking anymore. Oh, the memories!

One of my favorite memories is of when I was nine years old and over at a friend's house. She and I were playing in her living room and then I saw her older sister, who was two years older than her, go running up the stairs to the second floor. My friend and I quickly moved our play out to their back yard since we both knew from first hand experience that it was best to make one's self scarce when their mom was in a spanking mood.

Their mom was movie star gorgeous and after that I knew how my friend got punished since, by association, I figured that since her sister got the brush then she must as well. I wondered what a spanking from her would be like and how it would stack up to one from my mom.

I think this is a great topic of conversation, and goes to how we all might have began our love of spankings. I recall being around age 6/7 over at a friends house just playing some kind of game outside with friend. Next door there were a brother and sister who were always back talking to their Mom. Well as my friend and I were outside these siblings next door were refusing their Mom to come in to the house, well next thing we see is the Mom coming outside and using their backyard slide as a chair and each of them went otk for a spanking then with the windows open they were brought back inside for a more serious "discussion "
Have to say both my friend and I were surely tempted to look through the window as to the goings on, but were reluctant to do so.

I agree LawnDawg, getting caught at the girls window would have gotten you the same treatment. It sure would be interesting to know how her dad handled her discipline. For example, whether was allowed the protection of her panties, or not and did he use just his hand or perhaps a belt or paddle. Obviously this would not have been a topic of conversation between two 8-9 year olds. That age puts you guys in 3rd maybe 4th grade.

I really envy the others posting here that had these real life experiences of seeing a neighborhood spanking take place. The only childhood spankings that I can remember actually being right there for took place in the Principal's office when I was in first or possibly second grade, 1961-1962. A classmate named Jeffery peed on me in the boys bathroom and I reported it. We were both taken to the Principal's office. Mr. Hendricks was his name. Jeffry went over his knees and got two licks with a piece of car seat belt he used as a strap. After the first lick Jeffry cried out "ow" . Followed by Mr. Hendricks stating "You bet that's ow!" Then the second lick which had Jeffery crying. Of course this was done over clothes.

The second also took place at the same school when in first grade. A girl, Jane was called up in front of the class and told to turn around facing the class. The teacher Mrs. Austin gave Jane 3-5 licks across the seat of her dress with a long wooden pointer which teachers used to point to things on the chalk board. I can't remember now whether this brought tears to Jane or not so I cannot accurately report on that.
To this day, I wonder if Jane's spanking in class was reported to her parents and if so, was Jane possibly given a more serious spanking at home that night? We'll never know but it is fun to ponder. Of course one could embellish and make up the rest of the story, but as reported above are true accounts.

A third childhood experience, even less exciting than the ones reported above was a neighborhood friend, male who actually did tell me that he got it with his stepdad's belt strap on his "bare ass", exact words, while laying face down on his bed.

Back in my day in early elementary school the teacher would give birthday spankings - playful ones where she would wind her arm up like she was a major league picture before tapping the kid on the seat. We also got "the hot oven", where everyone would form a line with their legs apart and the birthday boy or girl would crawl giggling between their legs - getting smacks from all the kids in the class. Most kids just patted, some kids landed smacks, and some of them would also try to trap you between their legs so they could give you more smacks - all in fun.

That was grades, say one to three or four - which were all taught by older teachers. My third grade teacher had taught my father. Later grades (five, six, seven - that's what the school went up) didn't get spanked because you couldn't pat an older kid's butt (not even the 70s) so they got "the bumps".

The bumps? You needed four other kids for that. Each would grab one of the birthday kid's limbs, lift her (some of the guys still got public birthday spankings but none of the older girls did, so I saw it happening to more girls than guys) off the ground, then "bump" her butt on the ground once for each year - plus one to grow on and one to be good on.

Yes, this did once happen in that school. And at birthday parties there was often birthday spankings (some kids got visibly disappointed it they didn't get them). Usually they were playful ones over party clothes but sometimes the smacks were harder. I can only vaguely remember a few girls getting their skirts lifted so the playful spanking could happen on their panties, but that was rare when there were both girls and boys at a party - because little girls weren't supposed to show off their panties and little boys weren't supposed to look if a skirt flew up.

Beyond that I don't seem to recall seeing any spankings... Sometimes hearing ones (my older sister, the boy next door that was around her age) but the boy moved around grade 1 or 3 (sometime in there) and my sister's spankings ended around grade 5 or 6.

I recall a teacher taking a boy outside the classroom to cane him. It was back in the 60's when canings in British schools were common. We could all hear the strokes being administered and after the first two the third and last one sounded as though it had been given on the hand. When we asked the boy he told us that all three had been given on the bottom. Nothing was said but we all knew that the last one was given with his underpants down. Bare bottom spankings were rare and I can't explain why this punishment (the boy had been cheating) was so severe.

Spankedjenny, I love the phase you use "wood striking bare fanny flesh"! The sound as I know from experience is an unmistakable one!! And having been the recipient of a few bare bottom hairbrush spankings from courtesy of my Aunt Ruth, I well aware OF JUST HOW MUCH THEY HURT!!!! When my behind was not in line for a roasting I frequently heard my female cousins Sue and Becky as well as my male cousin Jimmy getting their butts blistered; and boy, was it an experience you did not forget! As you say, whilst you wanted to hear the proceedings you also were careful to make yourself scarce, since you were eager not to become an unwilling participant in the spectacle yourself! It did not take much to earn yourself a spanking in those days! That's for sure!!
