Overheard spankings

In years gone by, especially in the summer when windows were frequently left open, how common was it to hear a friend, acquaintance or contemporary get a spanking? Anybody got any interesting and memorable stories to tell concerning this?

When I was younger every time I knew a girl was gonna get paddled at school, me and my buddies would sneak around to the window of the Principal's office always hoping it'd be open so we could hear whoever got it. Most times it was closed, but every now and then we got lucky. It was on the third floor so we never got to actually see anything, but just hearing it was more than most people got so I figure that's pretty lucky.

My classmates and I heard lots of paddlings in the hallways at Grade School, and in Jr. High School. More than a few times it was me they heard getting paddled. At home, I sometimes could hear my neighbors kids getting spanked or getting a belt used on them, and I'm sure they heard my siblings and I from time to time.

Often think of a witness or several outside of the office Headmistress or master listening of the spanking being administered knowing they were next. Could even include adults . Just thinking out loud.

Our headmaster used to take people to the bottom of the girls' stairs, which created an echo effect that went round a good bit of the school. It was always a tawse on the hands, so there was no clothing between tawse and skin to muffle the sound. This was always during classes, so there would be very few students in the corridors to see.

When I was a kid it was very common in the summer to hear someone in the neighborhood getting spanked, since no one in the neighborhood had central air so windows were always open. My favorite was a girl who lived two doors down from me, he mom would spank her on the ground floor and if I was brave enough to peek in the window I could see as well as hear.

One wonders if the windows were left open on purpose - so that the spankee would know that any passer-bye could hear their punishment, and any local kids overhearing it would be reminded of the penalties for misbehaviour...

On a related note, I once came across a French website where members were encouraged to post audio recordings of couples they'd overheard having sex - usually from hotels with thin walls between bedrooms. I'm sure recordings of overheard spankings would be popular - if harder to acquire!

LawnDawg, Did you ever get brave enough to peek through the window? If so, can you describe. How old was the girl? State of dress/ undress? Did her mom use anything besides her hand? How about her dad?

Robert56, she was 8-9, same age as me, I peeked 3-4 times, and didn't stay for the whole spanking, on account of I would get the same treatment if I was caught. I only ever saw her mom use her hand, and she had her pants down, but her panties were up. I never saw her dad spank her, but I know he did.
