Lord Lucan (for those who may not have heard of him) was an unpleasant Brit aristo notorious for having murdered his children's nanny, attacked his wife and then mysteriously vanished - possibly with the connivance of some of his aristo pals. This was in 1974. His wife/widow has now given an interview, due to be broadcast next Monday (June 5) on ITV. There's a piece about it in Radio Times; here's an extract:
"[Lady Lucan] reveals that when she became depressed during the breakdown of their marriage he would cane her bottom to beat, as he put it, 'the mad ideas out of your head'. But then she adds by way of qualification: 'He could have hit harder. They were measured blows. He must have got pleasure out of it because he had intercourse [with me] afterwards.'"
Whether Lady L also got pleasure out of it she doesn't say.... |
