Spanking and Arousal

Quite frankly I can't see the point of spanking without arousal.
If the pain becomes too great for sexual enjoyment it isn't fun any more.
I know that I occasionally write judicial stories where the beating certainly wouldn't be arousing at the time.
However these are pure fantasy as the imagination is aroused, and my victims invariably experience arousal after the pain..
Reality should never be confused with fantasy; recently I saw a photo of two homosexuals being led to their public flogging of 85 strokes of the cane in Aceh, for being gay. They looked absolutely terrified. Thankfully the British paper didn't show any more.
The reality is that it is a cruel and abhorrent punishment, in extremis.
When I was slippered (gym shoe) at school, the first two when I was 11 or 12 just hurt.
I was once slippered in extremely inappropriate circumstances at Cubs when Akela was away. I didn't dare tell my father as he would have gone beserk. All my mates thought it was hilarious btw. It didn't hurt much but it was humiliating and I knew instinctively it was very wrong.
The most memorable whacking which I have described in "In praise of the plimsoll" in a post on Wellred Weekly several years ago took place when I was about 14-15. By that age I was really angry that a prefect a few years older than me could humiliate me in such a way. It hurt of course but not unbearably, and to my amazement after a few minutes I realised I was actually enjoying the warmth and arousal that it caused.
There was a bit of a craze amongst some of us boys for slippering each other around the age of puberty and those of us who very secretively indulged all thoroughly enjoyed both whacking and receiving.
I still despised the prefect though and hoped I would meet him on a football or rugby field when I had become very strong and would have hurt him back.

Nah, that would just make you a weirdo, whereas using 'tu' for non-friends would make you a complete boor. Back when I lived there, only family members called each other 'tu', but I think that's changing. In Quebec, though, tu is much more common, almost everyone is tu, except possibly the Pope or something.

Um....................punishment? Birthday whacks? A bet penalty?

Spanking, as an activity, is not that much different than anything else. Look at kissing. A kiss can show love between relatives or friendship between non-relatives, passion between lovers, deference to authority, or even a signal that a mobster is about to kill you. A kiss can also be a dare, or a tease, or any number of things......and still have a 'point'. So too spanking.

Pledging activities (fraternity/sorority), game forfeits ("SPUD"), even 'maintenance' chastisements would fit into the pretty much "non-arousing" category of spanking as well, I'm figuring.

It may be erotically arousing to read about purely punitive butt-bliisterings, but they (along with these other examples) certainly aren't always likely to be a sexual 'turn-on' to their recipients...
