Sticky Keyboards

I was pondering the question whether readers of the LSF and other websites that may unwittingly appeal to prurient interests might find themselves with stickier keyboards than those who limit themselves to the perusal of websites which have no such appeal and if this is the case whether keyboard stickiness is more pronounced for male than for female readers.

Inquiring minds would also like to know whether male readers who do not maintain a box of tissues close to the keyboard or mis-time the tissue's use have ever shorted out a keyboard.

If this represents a problem, might not a molded keyboard protector of the type used in fast-food restaurants offer a solution? With the expectation that such a keyboard protector would be a specialty item with a limited market and therefore offered by only a limited number of vendors, I must confess my surprise when's I Googled "keyboard protector" and realized there were countless vendors offering a wide array of such devices to the general public.

I have a keyboard protector for much less interesting purposes: it's a degree of mitigation from accidental harm, given I often eat and drink while using the laptop. You can get them in custom patterns, too: flags, sports logos, etc. Mine is tie-dye, to reflect my inner hippie

A side benefit is it mutes the clack of the keyboard, so if you're up late working in bed, there are fewer disgruntled sounds from the other pillow ...

I'm thinking of getting one since I often have my coffee or water nearby. I had seen them at work a few times.

I am glad you posed that question, mainly because it led me to have a quick glance at your stories. I fully intend to return and read them properly, albeit at the risk of damaging a very expensive keyboard.

My laptop is situated by my recliner on a sliding stand that can be moved in and/or away. I can only tell you that beside my recliner is a green towel on the floor which from above, in dim light, resembles an aerial image of the Appalachian mountain range. Very 'handy', nobody knows.

If you press the 'shift' key 5 times in a row really fast windows turns on 'sticky keys'. Given my adoration of my computer that's the closest my keyboard gets to sticky!

interesting question, no never shorted a keyboard out with anything but coffee. yes I do keep a box of tissue on the computer desk.

Well, I never thought about it in terms that anyone would actually be fapping away to my stories. I do write them in a way that I find arousing and pleasing, but it is not exactly something to get off to. Did you girls actually think that it is what we guys do, wanking happily away to the stories online, getting screen and keyboard all sticky? If so, what about you girls? Are you ever in danger of damaging any equipment when reading stories here? I can only speak for myself though, maybe I'm the odd one here, the only one reading with my pants on. Now don't tell me it is like that, I'll feel so weird.
