If anyone is interested--
I've written a Visual Basic applet for Microsoft Excel that generates a "scenario" It doesn't detail the number of strokes, but it does allow you to input a male or female spankee, choose child, teen,or adult, and it will generate a random name (from a customizable list of names), age, implement, spanker, and setting. The code is, of course, tweakable.
Sometimes it creates scenarios which don't make a ton of sense (although some creativity can then be employed) but it can get someone started on a story if they're just in need of a stepping stone.

Oh, and also--

I remade the "Ungrounding calculator" that used to be featured somewhere on the internet. It inputs the specifications of the punishment and calculated a number of strokes, but I would like some input on refining the formulae. Again, this was created in Microsoft Excel. Little did my engineering professors know that I would put some of what I learned in class to this end!

*****

I've created two userforms in Microsoft Excel-- one that mimics the old "ungrounding calculator" that was popular on the internet at one point, and another that creates a random name, age, implement, spanker, and setting from a predetermined list (which can later be customized).

If anyone here is interested in them, I'll email them to you. (Just message me).
All I ask is
1. Don't redistribute them
2. Give me feedback! What would you like to see, are the numbers making sense, etc....

NOTE: You must have Microsoft Excel (I believe 2007 and on will work) to use these. Also you must allow macros to be enabled when you open the files.

If anyone is interested in obtaining either of these two, let me know with a comment here or a message.

Avalon:
and it will generate a random name (from a customizable list of names)

That brings up my method for naming my characters: The United States Social Security office's database of names, which can be searched by birth year. If I decide that a character is 16 years old, in a story I'm writing this year, I specify the year 2000, and ask for the 100 most popular baby names from that year. Then I roll "percentile dice" to randomly select from that list of 100 names. That way, I get a name that doesn't sound "odd" for the character's age (in the USA, anyway).

That's a good system. One of the ones I use is to go to the credits of a movie, tv show, etc and select either the first or last name of the actor and then use the other name from the character.

The telephone book can be handy for coming up with random names.

The only thing is, you often find yourself saying, "I can't use that name, nobody would believe it."

I've been playing this game for over twenty years. Take one die. The first roll is the implement to be used. 1 is cane, 2 is hairbrush , 3 is tawse, mine has three tails, 4 is paddle, 5 is hand, 6 is flogger. The next roll is the number of strokes. Subs pray for a 5,1 I hope for a 1,6.
The suspense is the best part. We play until I get bored and move on to the next game.
The exciting part is when on a birthday the number of strokes are set and many, we are adults, but the implementation difference can be exquisite. 36 with a cane is a hard roe to hoe.
