A bit of an embarrassing question about something I might have (but might not have) posted

You should keep a list of what you've posted and where/

I can't speak for Goodgulf, but there are probably many lists that all of us should keep, but don't.

I have also had instances similar to this where a story somehow becomes "lost". Also, as my stories age (along with my very human brain) I tend to forget them. Sometimes when a story idea occurs to me, I have to do a search to ensure that I haven't already written it!

I fear that some sort of embarrassment caused by my human frailty is always waiting in the wings. Fortunately, the supportive group here at the LSF is sure to understand and forgive (if not, Miss Trashbottom is always available to provide her own brand of absolution) .

I actually do keep an index of the stories I've posted to spanko.net - but not here or too my often neglected blog. When it comes to this site, the stories are so well laid out that I can see if I've posted something with a few clicks.

Haven't been back to Spanko in a long time, need to locate my old password unless I was dropped.

Your old account should work... but it's a ghost town in there. Almost no activity on the forums. Days go by without posts. But it's still a good place to see a story looking different than it does when I write it, and that does help me spot typos.

Another way to do the same thing is to paste your text into G-mail and then send it the story to yourself. It not only looks different, but G-mail has its own spell check which sometimes catches errors that mine misses.
