It seems these days you can get away with a whole host of lunacy under the name of "religion". I won't give any examples so as to avoid causing any offence. One way of pointing this out, however, is through parody and I have to admit to enjoying the following report:

And it seems you can get a cool certificate of ordination for a mere $25!

Perhaps, then, it's time we registered as the Church of Spanking Fiction and sold our own ordination certificates.

I have always fancied the idea of being an archbishop, but I would hate the standard career path of studying theology, being a parish priest etc. Perhaps this is my chance?

There is a beer church as well, but I love the whole Flying Spaghetti Monster thing.....his noodly appendage, pirates, and all!

I read the FSM book several years ago. I think I may even have posted something at some point in the LSF. Does that make me a Monsignor, or something even higher, like maybe a High Penne-man of the LSF chapter? We loves us some fancy titles.

I like the idea of The Church of LSF, i quite fancy wearing a little habit and whimple as part of the nun attire. Well it would make getting dressed easier as no need to colour match, and no need to worry about a bad hair day. Sister Act here we come.

Not so sure about giving up certain pleasures in life to achieve the above, but we will worry about that after Brother Februs becomes ordained

Actually Rosie, many of the modern nuns in the US wear almost normal clothes, maybe they just have the little hat, or maybe not. I've a feeling that the Church of the LSF would have similar rules (unless of course, you or your spanking partner are into having your nuns wear taken down in preparation for a spanking). So, essentially, we have kicked the habit.

I would think the tax advantages of declaring this place a church would be of great benefit. With any amount of money brought in from the sale of the e-books would be considered a donation and the writers of such could get receipts for tax deductions.

Of course tithing would have to be consider for any member who was not contributing regularly to the 'church' with by writing or commenting on stories.

I have some knowledge of something (not sure what) and therefore I am applying to be 'Arch-Bishop of Canada'. Think of the fancy robe I can make for myself. One that opens at the back of course in case any female parishioner wants to spank me, but that is just one of the many fringe benefits I could assign myself.

Great idea Februs to form the church. Please send my appointment via post on this forum for all to take note and start to send me whatever it is that Arch-Bishops of any Church gets.
