Halloween

While trick-or-treating may be for kids, Rosa, my brother, and I dress up and go around as half attendees (though we don't go up to doors for candy) and half chaperones. But there's nothing like a party for adults to bring out the potential of Halloween. (Just look at pictures from NYC's Greenwich Village Parade!)

Kids have enough things geared towards them already. It's time adults take back Halloween like the old Druid days.

There's a post that generally gets bumped or updated every year, one listing many of the wonderful Halloween stories in the library. I've got another one that is half finished, but I don't know if it will be finished before Oct 31.

it's actually pretty rare for adults to plant traps in the Halloween candy -- and even when they do, they generally target and kill their own children, not random victims.

In my part of the world, there is no Halloween tradition (except that it's common to go to a cemetery and visit your dead around this time), but the tradition of kids going door to door is kept on Easter (which, as you might now, involves spanking here).

I see turnip lanterns may be making a comeback this Halloween - due to a pumpkin shortage!

How about giving Elvira a good spanking. Prof. Frankenstein, or Count Dracula could do the duty. Silly good night all.

So agree! Elvira getting spanked would be a fantastic sight to behold!

In the spirit of Halloween

I wanted to open a thread but thought that it would be better to revive an old one. this is the most recent Halloween thread and still 3 years old!!! What were you people doing?!?!!

The goal is simple. We need more Halloween stories. May be our talented writers could write something for this day and members could make some good recommendations. I hope the next library update comes with some Halloween tales. Even if I am late to make the call, I think there is still time. You don't read Christmas stories in May, so act quickly.

Trick & Treating might be fun but without a spanking no Halloween is truly complete.

The ideal Halloween party for me would to find a gathering where several of the females have decided to dress like a piñata [that is actually a thing that's done by the way]. Dress yourself as a bandito and hope that the ladies are generous with their 'sticks'.

I wrote a Halloween story too, Goodgulf, which I submitted a few weeks ago. It was late, but I am hoping the spirits are kind and post it before Halloween, as they usually do!
