When a new short story challenge is underway somebody normally starts a discussion on here. It appears that on this occasion, nothing relating to the latest challenge has been posted. I do hope that it doesn't mean that there is little interest. I've submitted my entry and trust that there will be lots of healthy competition.

I think if we were lacking stories Flopsy would have told us by now, just as she did last time.

I find in talking to others via pop ups etc there is good interest so little worry I think.

Ahhhh, in this case that presumably would be a mistake...error...bad choice... --C.K.

It could be that the lack of discussion is because people feel the topic is clear and obvious. The discussions are often on points of clarification about what the task set means precisely, or about points concerning the voting which are specific to that topic - for example, whether in an historical story, historical accuracy should be considered.

Well in the past on the challenge page, you could see how many stories had been loaded thus far, which gave everyone an idea of the amount of interest involved. But this time, it looks like Februs is trying to keep us all in suspense until the stories are revealed Wednesday evening!

You can on this challenge too. It shows three. I suspect that not everything already submitted has been loaded.

Edit: Now it's up to six.

That was so before too. There will be other stories submitted and waiting to be loaded. A big job!

I've just completed reading and commenting on all the challenge entries, quite a marathon, but extremely rewarding. There is a wealth of talent with all different kinds of stories and I love these challenges!
I hope members are trying to read all the entries, I have noticed previously that there is a vast difference in views for some stories over others, which is a crying shame when points are awarded. I guess it's often a title that draws interest and many great stories are neglected because the title doesn't attract or because of time limits?
Anyway, I am eagerly awaiting the results now, so want to encourage everyone to keep reading through the entries, even if the title doesn't "grab" you, comment freely and award points generously!
Good luck
