News has just slipped out that the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is carrying out further investigations into the proposed takeover of the K-Y Jelly brand. K-Y is currently owned by Johnson & Johnson, but the proposed sale to Durex owners Reckitt-Benckiser is causing concern over market share and possible price rises. Durex make competing sexual lubricants, and the takeover could give Reckitt-Benckiser almost three quarters of the market share. Further information is available on the CMA's website. |
