The spanking from the au pair is not even mentioned in the book. The deleted spanking scene from the book is a M/M spanking Elliott gets from one of the doms on the island. The scene can be found in a ook which is a guide to Anne Rice's erotica, the afore mentioned Sleeping Beauty trilogy, Exit to Eden, and Belinda. Sorry, I don't remember the exact title of the book.

Ummmm, this might be one of the exceptionally rare cases wherein I'd actually prefer the motion picture to the novel... --C.K.

I found Anne Rice's Exit to Eden delightfully erotic and far easier to enjoy than the Sleeping Beauty trilogy which seemed tedious. She really explores the inner world of the dominatrix who runs the island where subs are trained. It is one of the few novels that seriously analyzes the world of dominance and submission. I looked at 50 Shades and found it totally puerile. One classic that is a rather slight but lovely book is The Image by Jean de Berg, a pseudonym.

Speaking of Dakota and Melanie, Dakota guest hosted "Saturday Night Live" last night and her parents were in the audience. She shared a story of how her mother hosted the show in 1988 and her father was on the set and, ta da, nine months later she was born, openly speculating that she was conceived that night after the show ("or maybe during the show"). She introduced her parents and they both seemed to be squirming in their seats and she asked them if they were embarrassed that she had shared that story. Her father answered, "No. We're just glad you didn't take your clothes off!"

There were a couple of other clever bits in the show including how her dog-walker "gives me a funny look when he takes the leash off the wall" and a skit where she gets slapped by a man and she says "HARDER!", seemingly surprising the cast members. I was personally hoping for a spanking reference, (maybe from her parents) but I didn't really see anything. Too bad...

Hmm, I'd forgotten about "Body Double." and am still trying to forget the rest of her totally sub-par performances although "Office Girl" wasn't bad. The highlight of her career was removing Antonio Banderas from the marriage circuit for 18 years. If Melannie Griffith had no desire to see her Daughter's film then why take up red carpet space? It seems rather mean spirited to me.

I kind of liked her for a while. Early on things like Working Girl and Something Wild with Jeff Daniels were pretty good. Actually her characters in both of those films were very spankable.
