I became the proud owner of the Beatles box set: The U.S. Albums, yesterday when the UPS truck delivered it to me. There are 13 albums in all, 12 with music, and the Beatles Story. I just finished listening to Yesterday and Today. That particular CD has 22 tracks in all, 11 songs in mono, and the same 11 in stereo. The album had the cover that was released here, as a cardboard sheet lying over the original cover, that someone decided was unacceptable after the promotional copies were sent out.

Sounds great. I've always loved the Beatles. JL and PM were poets.

Beatlemania is alive and well. I still have my vinyl LPs, the Ed Sullivan DVDs, "A Hard Day's Night" & "Help" movies as well.

I don't have Help on DVD. I do have A Hard days Night, Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, and the Ed Sullivan appearances. I just haven't been able to find Help at what I consider to be a reasonable price.

I have an original full set on LP, but nothing to play them on any longer.
I've also worn out 3 cd's of Abbey Road. I have a few others, but not a complete set.
I remember when they were on Ed SUllivan, we got to stay up past regular bed time and watch.

My dad has an original first edition album I came across a few years ago. He had forgotten about it and said he picked it up when he was in college. Still plays nicely. Wheat, have you seen the movie Across the universe? We watched it last night on Amazon. The story line is kinda of odd but all of the music is Beatles.

Ohiomom, yes I have. One of my grandnephews gave me Across The Universe on DVD for Christmas last year. A movie you might enjoy more is Backbeat. It's the story of the five original Beatles while they were in Germany, before they hit the big time. The parts were played by actors, of course.
BTW, while the Beatles are my all time favorite musical group, my favorite rock and roll movie is Having A Wild Weekend, starring the Dave Clark Five.
