For those of you dreaming of an immersive virtual spanking experience, Google Glass goes on sale to the general public for a single day on April 15. $1,500.00 a pop. The line forms on the right.

Some restaurants, recreation centers, casinos, have put signs up that Google Glass or any eyeglasses with a type of camera attached is prohibited.

Here are the Top Ten places they are being banned.

Banks/ATMs/Sports Arenas and Concert Venues/Locker Rooms & Dressing Rooms/Movie Theaters/Hospitals/Vehicles/Classrooms/Strip Clubs/Bars

Imagine the hold ups while they check for people with this product. What are they gonna do frisk everyone and check their bags? Sheesh! It's just another venue for filing a lawsuit on someone, like we don't have enough of that crap.

Remember when some places were busily banning telephones with a camera feature? Then they simply became too ubiquitous to ban. Now I must be the last person left with a camera-less telephone.

If Google Glass ever gets popular, (I'm not making any predictions about that) it won't be banned anywhere.

No, you're not. My children and grandchildren laugh at my phone, which is a basic Nokia, costing £6 from Tesco. With it I can send and receive calls and texts - what more do I need?

Google glass is on sale here from next week.... kinda scary if u ask me.... who needs it? teenagers who can't stop gaming perhaps.... not good for society or general face to face social interaction methinks... but who knows.... lets watch and observe! It is an add-on that I sure don't need anyway!

And how do you guys get those cute piccys hehe?

I don't know if any of you have read Charles Stross' 'Halting State' - a near-future SF novel in which this type of goggles are ubiquitous - the police have their own version which shows SIM-like floating symbols over the heads of anyone with an electronic tag or ASBO, and the general public have versions which project an overlay onto the real world - so you can select 'Discworld' for example, and see buildings as their fantasy-mediaeval equivalents, passersby as peasants or wizards, cars as carts etc (and yes, there is a porn version!) It'll be interesting to see how close reality matches up...

I hope to Hell they don't start using them while driving. Sigh! Texting is bad enough.

The world is changing quickly. Every month there is a new 'must have' that will be expensive, trendy and upgraded in a few months and therefore obsolete. Who really needs these objects? I'd rather donate to the food pantry or the animal shelter.

I agree 100% with Islandcarol on this one. I don't have an excess of money, but what I do have I'm not wasting on expensive, trendy objects or clothing, which will go out of style and have to be updated in 6 months. My nephew and his wife live like this and both of them are working and making good money, and living from one payday to the next.
