no idea here to find an avatar for myself.

It's too easy! 1) Go to Google, 2) Select "images" 3) Enter a search term (Hint: "Flowerchild" works well) 4) Select from the hundreds of choices 5) Send the one you like to Februs 6) Go read a GuySpencer story

The only thing better would have been to have clouds in it too, but there were none when I took that photo, and I wanted to use one of my own.

Fi, as a photographer I have to say it's not easy for some people to photograph the moon. You did an excellent job of it.

Thanks, bendover, but this isn't the one I took. That post was for my original moon avatar (which I thought was still a pretty decent picture) but having one with clouds and a blue background was irresistible, so this is actually one I found on Google. I didn't have the option of editing or deleting the post. Don't want to mislead anybody!

Many thanks to Februs and the late Jimmy Edwards of Whacko fame.
I'm very pleased indeed with my avatar.
Very many years ago I won first prize in a charity fancy dress competition dressed as Jimmy Edwards, (yes even nearly sixty years ago I liked school stories), my Mum made the gown from old black-out curtains and we made the mortar board out of cardboard, and the moustache from stage make-up. The garden cane was strictly supervised by Mum. When going through her effects last year after her death I found a photo!
(every year after Christmas the dining room was taken over by organza, satin and sequins as she made my sister's ballet costume for the amateur panto) Happy memories.
For those who don't know blackout curtains were government issue black cloth which had to be hung in your windows in WW2 particularly during the Blitz to prevent light being seen by German bombers.

Love the new look, no idea here to find an avatar for myself. The one I have on another sight is not available now.

If you still have one you like on another site, you should be able to save a copy of it and use it here also. If no other way, and you can see it on the screen, do a 'Print Screen' and paste it into an image editor (e.g. Microsoft Paint). Someone can help you crop and edit it down to 50 pixels if necessary.

A very good site to achieve that: http://reduction-image.com/gif-anime/

Certainly! Here you go:

I would have expected nothing less from you, Rick. I should have you peeling potatoes and digging out latrines in no time at all!

You'd really test the limits of my abilities, wouldn't you?

Has anyone else noticed the slight changes on the the 'stats' section made by our site genius lately?

If one visits the "statistics" under comments one will find a "more" selection at the bottom of each column. Clicking on that 'more' will bring up an expanded listing of many of the active commentor's on site. You will also be able to click on 'less' to get back to the original page.

Being one who is very aware of comments I appreciate the work done here and give a large cheer for the hard work and effort put forth by Februs.
