Nova Scotia Paddle

Back in the mid 80s, I ordered a catalog from Nu West. They offered a paddle for sale. I think they called it the teuro terror, although I may be misspelling truro. It was reported to have been invented by a principal in Nova Scotia, because he wanted a paddle that could be felt through the children's thick winter clothes. Nu West bragged that when it was used on bare skin, it felt like you had sat on a hornet's nest. I never ordered one, and Nu West no longer offers it for sale. I was wondering if any of the members of LSF were familiar with the paddle, and/or knew where I could order one.

There's a reference to a "Truro Terror" devised by a Nova Scotian principal in Martin Pyx's book 'Autumn Scandals' - it's described as a holed rubber strap or paddle (I don't have the book to hand) - perhaps this is the thing you're looking for? I've no idea where you'd get one, though.

Ah, the Truro Terror. I have one right beside me as I'm typing this. I ordered it from Nu West about 25 years ago. It's 15" long, 2 3/4" wide and 3/8" thick. It's made of a very black heavy rubber and has 2 rows of 6 holes that are 1/2" in diameter. It's flexible because it's rubber but when you hold it it's like a paddle and doesn't bend of its own weight because it is so thick.

When used with force it is extremely painful. Just holding it in your hand you can tell that it is named correctly. Hand it to a bottom and he/she would be ready to pee their pants before even feeling it.

There was also a video that showed a very short scene of that paddle in use by Nu-West. Possibly 6-8 whacks. It was titled "Amateur (something ??)" if that helps at all. I don't see the video listed at this time on the Nu-West site.

I am the proud owner of Truro Terror purchased from NuWest many years ago. I still remember the description, made for use over heavy corduroy. Living in the southwest, don't even own anything corduroy so the Terror is used on the next best thing, my bare bottom. About a week after it arrived I sent NuWest a thank-you note with a couple of Polaroid pictures showing me bent over scrubbing the bathroom, bottom purple from a motivational spanking with the Truro Terror. It has also been useful over the years to encourage other positive behavior and first time experiences.

Omg. If you've been into spanking long enough you have a fierce collection of toys. Most of which never get used anymore. I have a plastic travel case for golf clubs and it's only about a quarter of my toys. I have several rubber holed paddles and I must admit to never having seen one before reading Martin Pyx books. If you can whack butt with it, it's out there.

Remember reading a CF story long time ago where a mother borrowed a rubber implement from a Canadian neighbor that sounded like this one.
She used it to spank her daughter who had been working as a nude dancer at some strip club! Needless to the young lady decided to find a new job!
Imagine the possibilities of this Nova Scotia paddle designed for use over thick clothing if it got transported to the beaches of Brazil,with all the tangas and sungas running around! Or to a nude beach anywhere.
