Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is a mainstream web comic that contains few references to spanking. I've seen hundreds of them, and this is the first spanking one I've seen.

And it's the funniest spanking cartoon I've seen in years.

You have a funny sense of humour Goodgulf, but I must admit I did laugh.

Hilarious! That's a very interesting form of logic the father is using - it's like the poor kid is getting compound interest on his spanking.

OK good, that's how I find it funny too. Not actually funny.

Most of their humour is so messed up it's funny. For example, there's one where a little is saying "Daddy, there's a monster in my closet" and caption is: "luckily, Sally's door could from the outside - so I was safe", implying her father believed her about the monster and looked only to his own safety.

Another (along that same theme) has a father saying "How many times do I have to tell you that there's no monster under your bed? It's just a homeless man with a knife who hates you. Now go to sleep.".

is a common reaction to that web comic.

They also do short youtube sketches that are funny for the same reason. Not quite shock humour, but close.

It reminds me of a Cheech & Chong sketch where an old man in captivity is being tortured to make him sign a paper ... stating that he's been well-treated.

It's ironic that the father knows enough psychology to say what he says (inc. the 'probably'), and belts the boy anyway. It suggests that rational understanding is no match for deep-seated emotional behaviour patterns.
