Christianity and Spanking

Hello one and all! I am writing an article about Christianity and spanking for Wellred, I was hoping for some input from fellow Christians out there. I am not concentrating on the disciplining of children much. It is more on how spanking is viewed in Christian relationships and how the church might view the practice. There is a whole sub-genre of novels that deal with "Christian spanking". It's mostly romances about spanking in Christian marriages. I'm intrigued by this but I have not checked it out yet. Also there appear to be a few blogs by couples or wives in a Christian DD lifestyle. That might provide you with some source material.

It tends to get more interesting when the male is the bottom and the female the top, I bet the market for Christian femdom novels is a bit thin. But you can find such stories here, of course.

I have found Christian adults have about the same percentage of spanko's among them as the general population. Of course I am only referring to the "practising" Christians, not everyone who claims to be this or that religion but never goes to a meeting etc. Also, of the few I know of, they are no different then any other spanko, as spanking is for fun or discipline or sex, and really has little to do with one's faith in the Christian adult world.

I don't have a problem with Christians spanking per se. But I do object to Christians visiting "Cruel and unnatural" punishment on their children and justifying it by claiming it is part of their religion. This would apply to ANY religion, not just the Christian.

The worst extreme is Taliban fanatics throwing acid in the faces of young girls because they committed the heinous crime of going to school, but there are rather too many documented cases of Christian parents administering savage beatings to their children as part of their (twisted) religious beliefs.

Jesus/Mary Magdalene. It must be done.

There was a Yahoo group called 'Disciplinary Christian Wives' 12 years ago which was F/M. I think the content would be useful but I cannot find an archive anywhere on the net.
