I absolutely hate all those wires or cables sprouting from the computer. Do you manage to hide them? Gather them?

Ordalie you are able to buy a plastic spring looking thing called a cable tidy. It comes with a gadget to get your cables inside without removing plugs or disconnecting anything. Just cut it to length. It's called a "cable tidy"
hope that helps.

Sooner or later, some component of the system is going to break and have to be replaced or upgraded. When that happens, I'd just have to take the cable ties or wraps off again and re-do it. So I just stuff the wires behind the computer & monitor and ignore them. I don't know if that makes me a pragmatist... or just a lazy bum.

MY wires are all over the place, behind my computer. I don't know one from the other. Frankly, even though I am wrong, I don't care. I ignore that they are there.

I must be the odd-man-out, because I have my power cables to the components in a "cable tidy" device described by dund93. I also have the connecting cables for the other bits in a separate cable tidy. The cables are identified using self-adhesive plastic labels that look like small flags. Saves a lot of time when something goes wrong, or I need to unplug something.
Now, if only the rest of my apartment was so organised. It is NOT untidy. I have everything arranged for immediate random access. All across the floor. . .
