Happy Bums Night

Today on entering the Spanking Librarian, sorry, Library, I was confronted by a lewd and inappropriate message: HAPPY BUMS NIGHT! This was accompanied by a picture of a saturnine gentleman with a haircut somewhat reminiscent of a"pop" star, a young lady with a short skirt, and a background display of a garish pattern which presumably clad the said "bums".

I wish to protest at the besmirching of this august institution and the magnificent and historic erection in which it is housed.

We can all appreciate a magnificent erection , but our learned colleague needs to get his glasses changed. And I'm sure the young lady (who is playing what passes for a musical instrument north of the border) is observing the age-old tradition that NOTHING should be worn beneath the kilt!

I once worked in an office where a foreign female colleague had indeed transcribed the handwritten word "burn" as "bum" in an address. I pointed out the error in case of serious repercussions: the boss's name was Cockburn.

Reminds me of the nurse who often did things backwards. She was finally let go when she was told to Prick The Man's Boil....

What's worn under the kilt? Nothing. It's all in perfect working order. . .
