hahahaha I have already tried that cfpuf! However the phone is like me, it seems to love it! Therefore it plays up all the more JUST to earn a good spanking

well then the solution must be to spank you. It is a cornerstone of my worldview that the solution to any problem is to spank somebody.

I put the card back in and was able to download and play lots of mp3s on it with no problems at all. I then transferred them to the phone itself and they played phone from there too without causing it to go crazy me. There is still plenty of space on the micro sd card and the micro sd card itself seems to operate without any issues as well. The problem only starts when I activate an ereader app and download a book to it. Once the book downloads it allows me to read for a short while but when I return to homescreen or any other phone menu the phone goes loopy!!

christian0539My guess is it needs the card to track your progress in the books you read. christian0539

Strangely enough Christian, I transferred the ebook to the sd card, but the ereader app couldn't locate it until I moved it back to the internal phone memory. However the phone can find and play mp3s from the external SDcard???? it is sooo confusing

@ cfpub... you are so right...the answer definitely is to spank me .... maybe that will aide me in getting to the bottom of my phone's misbehaviour!

I wasn't able to reproduce your Galaxy behavior.

Try to download Aldiko version 2.0 or later (it's free on the Android Market). Make it find your books, then try to use it and check if it makes your Galaxy behaving badly. If it works well just forget the original installed (it isn't easy to delete it as it is part of the set of Samsung applications). If it doesn't than I'll try to get one of my gurus to play with it and find the solution.

Best,

KJM
