Are there author content guidelines anywhere

Are there any guidelines for authors about what kind of content is or is not acceptable/wanted here? Many things that are acceptable can inferred by seeing what is on the site, but it's harder to know what might not be acceptable.

Rosie, the guidelines are, sadly, rather vague, and open to interpretation.

If you write about adults (18+), almost anything goes.

If you write about under-18 characters, ya gotta be careful.

Given the myriad number of scenarios, interactions, interpretations etc of what could be written then the guidelines are as firm as we can make them. Obviously, it's impossible to outline in advance every single thing that might be unsuitable. On top of which the guidelines are largely based on protecting the site from material that is likely to cause mass offence or get the site shut down. if you want to see truly vague guidelines then I refer you to Amazon's in regards to what they deem offensive content:


So, all in all, I suggest there's little to complain about and if the author of a prospective piece wants to know if it's likely to be acceptable they always have the option to contact us to discuss it.

For some reason I had looked at the guide a few times before and missed that there is in fact a content page. I thought there was only the punctuation and grammar guide.

A few specific questions:

Does the spanking always have to be a punishment or role-play punishment, or between consenting adults can it be "just because we like it"?

Should spankings be restricted to bottom and thighs, or can other body parts be spanked?

One thing I've always liked about this site is that it takes a very broad view of what constitutes a spanking story. It doesn't have to be an erotic fantasy, it could equally be a comedy or a serious story highlighting the dangers of spanking. The guidelines are not so much 'sadly vague' as 'happily liberal'.

"Just because we like it" is a perfectly good reason, at least as I would judge from the number of such stories of mine that have been accepted.

Not sure about the answer to your other question. If I had to GUESS, I would say that bottoms and thighs should be the principal (if not necessarily the only) target. That's really for Februs or Flopsy to answer though.

There are many, many such stories here. I'm surprised you haven't come across any of them.

I haven't been here long. But the ones I've seen so far all seem to play it as a playful (or not) punishment.

You can submit any fictional account you like providing:
It doesn't involve sex with minors or sexualize minors in any way
It isn't billed as a real life account
It doesn't refer to real people - celebrities etc getting spanked or make libellous remarks about real people
It isn't porn, or something mega sleazy or likely to cause considerable offence


Spankings are usually depicted on the bottom, thighs or hands. We don't particularly want breast spankings. We assess the content of each story on its merit, level of detail, overall tone etc, and if we reject it, we inform you why its rejected.
