Fully registered and excited to start sampling some great stories and find the viewer doesn't support iPad!? No mention of them in help, troubleshooting (except by exclusion) nor here in help desk. With tens of millions of them sold, surely I can't be the only spanko trying to use one!?

The About section of the site states:

iPhones & iPads are not supported by the story viewer.

A couple of users have suggested using the Puffin browser to access the site but as I personally don't own an iPad, or ever plan to, I can't comment further. BTW, this isn't the only site which iPads fail to display correctly, there are many. This site is designed to work with standards compliant web browsers that support a full javascript implementation, something the iPad, despite however many have been sold, doesn't appear to offer.

Thanks again Februs for the suggestion of the Puffin browser. So far it appears to be working on my iPad!

I believe it was jefesse who pioneered its discovery, I was merely passing the info on. If it's working for both Android tablets and iPads we might as well add that info to the Troubleshooting page.

I hesitate to reopen this thread but I've found that episodes 2 and 3 of rickf's excellent 'tour for the press' series won't open properly in iPad. The window containing the story only contains the first part. Is it just me?

I've found that if you go to the next story in a series from a window with a story already in it, that the window doesn't change size. I close the window and open the next story from the author's collection and the window is now fine.

if the whole story does not show up on the front page, where its listed under Most Recent Additions or Comments, go to the author page or the title page . I have always found it to work.Never have had trouble accessing the site, have been using ipad Safari for past year.

A tad off topic, but the site appears to function as design on my Android tablets with the "standard - Android default" browser.

I've encountered the story viewer regularly breaking in desktop Safari. It happens inconsistently, so I haven't been able to reproduce it with specific stories.
