Thank you for the kind words. I've been writing just for the practice of getting to write again, knock out some of the stories in my head. Feel free to reach out and message me if you'd like someone to look through your work or need a second pair of eyes.

I have on a couple of occasions been told I have made name errors. Before I submit anything to this site I will have reread it in its entirety 3 or 4 times as well as several times in its construction, Still they slip through, why, probably because they are subliminal errors, and possibly at the time of writing you have thought of someone else at the time.
Of course I find it mildly irritating that I have made a mistake. ( I used to work in an environment where errors could be catastrophic, and still even with checking some slipped through. You just hoped any errors were either spotted later or did no harm.)
However I write for my own pleasure and not for reward. The odd few pounds one makes from anything published are just pocket money the main reward is from favourable comments. Unfortunately there is nobody I would dream of showing my stories to pre-publication, I sincerely hope that this part of my life remains unknown to anybody I know.
So my advice is not to be too pedantic and as long you enjoy the subject matter enjoy it in its whole and ignore minor errors. For instance it is very hard to grow an absolutely perfect rose but they still look beautiful in the garden.

Thanks, jimisim. I see your point.

"However I write for my own pleasure and not for reward."

I would LIKE this to be me, too...the reality is that I am delighted to share. And I'm delighted to hear feedback. There is something important to me, I suppose, to hear: "this thing? this thing that you wrote? I like it, too." Because I've lived a long time without hearing that (my postings on LSF are my only public postings), and the stories that I write are direct reflections of my inner imagination.

That's very interesting and kind. Perhaps I could do the same for you? Still working, but it's getting there.
