Well, the total (human) population of the earth is around 7.5 billion. So there is roughly one LSF member to every 500,000 extant homo sapiens! Not bad!

That's an amazing amount of reads. I've got the odd poem published in anthologies which a few people bought and a few copies are in libraries. They won't get a fraction of the reads which LSF provides. It's a great resource and still going strong.

Given the size of the sight when I joined up in 2010 this a truly amazing stat. Thanks to all the hard work by Febus & Flopsy. I checked but there is a large dumpster out back filled to the brim with empty Single Malt bottles and crisps wrappers. You can tell that they were well used. Congratulations, as well, to all perverts that have helped out over the years. Grin!

10 mllion views; 28,000 plus stories. Very impressive figures. I wonder though if we might run out of new stories before we run out of readers.With the continued decline in forum or message board type sites on the Web I have some concerns. Social media like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. seem to have overwhelmed everything.Have noted its been a month or so since any new submissions here.
Love to be proved wrong,to feel confident there is still much coming, that will be loaded eventually.

I understand that due to personal issues there has been a temporary slowdown at the loading stage. I believe that there are quite a number of submissions that have been made but not yet loaded -- i KNOW that there are at least a few.

And given the huge amount of unpaid and often unthanked efforts by Februs and Flopsy, we should only be glad that they have managed to load over 28,000 items to date. I want to be clear that I am in no way complaining, merely assuring others that there are submissions pending that will be available in time. Thank you very much.

I just now saw that several new items have been loaded within the last hour, and I hope and trust that there will be more to come as soon as the admins can manage to get them up. There is significant work to do in loading a story, by the way, it isn't just push a button.

Wasn't complaining either, Februd and Flopsy and the rest of the staff do a tremendous amount of work. Was merely speculating as to what if people were no longer submitting stories, certainly relieved that does not seem to be the case.
Just keep being reminded of all the wonderful sites with message boards I used to visit and participate in that are no more. Hope that never happens here.

I can agree with that entirely. It does seem that the pace of submissions is not what it once was, but it seems a long way from nothing yet. (Check the Info | statistics | Acquisitions display) I know for sure that i have a couple of items submitted but not yet loaded. I don't know for sure how many there are by other authors, but I have reason to think there are a number.
