I can't believe it. I don't even know what to say. I will definitely miss him.

Sad news and one that makes me feel very bad.

Bendover was a vital contributor to this site and I looked forward to seeing him on site. My condolences to his family outside and inside of this site. RIP

This is sad news indeed. He was a friend to everyone here at LSF, someone who without a doubt considered us his second family.

Pat was a good friend and a special man. He was always encouraging and helpful, always opinionated, and we had some great discussions. His absence leaves a hole in this community that no one else can fill. Thanks, Februs, for finding out and letting us know.

This is really bad news. It's a shame to see a man of only 66 go and so soon after his daughter. He always had a good word to send on the threads and PMs here and on BL.

I'm honored that Pat considered me a friend.

That is really sad, and shocking. 66 isn't very old nowadays. Pat was a welcoming and friendly "face" when I first arrived here, and seemed to always be around, whether on the forum, or through comments, or his stories. His presence in the LSF was so constant that, I'm embarrassed to say, I didn't notice he hadn't been here for the past few months - I just assumed he had been here, and that I missed him. Gonna miss him now, for sure. RIP, Pat.

This is pretty much a shock, I suppose I'd just assumed that Pat would always be here, as a major contributor to this Library.

We've all lost a terrific cyber-friend, that's for certain... --C.K.

Very sad to hear! As others have said, he must have been one of the most active contributors to the site.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear this news. Pat's comments were always so kind, and he always responded to messages. I too shall miss him. Sleep well my friend.
