I'm afraid I have some very sad news. As many of you will know, Bendover (Pat) was a very frequent visitor to both the LSF and Bottom Lines and one of our main contributors in all respects. I think he must have visited the LSF almost every day so it was particularly noticeable when we didn't see him for a few days. The few days became a couple of months, at which point we started to worry about him.

Today, we made another attempt to see if we could find out what had happened and I'm sorry to say that, after a few unsuccessful searches, we eventually discovered that he had passed away on March 24, 2015, aged 66. Flopsy and I were both very fond of him and we'll miss him greatly, as I'm sure many others will.

Such sad news. He was a great guy, very sociable, good hearted and encouraging to new authors & a friend to many of us. He will be greatly missed, and I won't ever forget him.

I'd noticed his absence. So sorry to discover the reason. He was a great contributor to this site and community, and it clearly meant a great deal to him.

Really sorry to hear that. It was always good to hear from him, and his stories were a pleasure to read. A loss to the Library, and to us all.

Pat was such a kind and supportive friend to many of us here. He leaned on us as "family" during his own tragedies in life, when he needed our support too. I know he truly loved being part of this site as author, reader, commenter and frequent forum poster. I am shocked and saddened by this unexpected news. He will be sorely missed. RIP Pat.

He was a regular commenter on my work and we had a lot of conversations here and via email about that and other things in general. This is a great shock and I am genuinely very sad to hear of his passing. I'm sure that you and flopsy have passed on the condolences from the entire Library community to his family. I will miss him, as will the Library as a whole.
