That's a question for Februs, but I think the actual number is more like 6. I held my original post until (I thought!) he was comfortably beyond recount territory.

Just got back from a trip to France (visiting my lovely and very spankable friend Sweetbeast) and logged on to find all the gratifying comments. Many thanks to you all!

Bit disappointing then to find I'd been downgraded. Not quite sure how this happens (have some stories been deleted from the Library?) but it's not the first time; only a few weeks ago my total dropped by ten or more. Has anyone else had this experience? Anyway, I've now bumped myself back up to the 2K mark - let's hope it doesn't drop down again....

It seems to me that my comment total jumps up and down like a yo yo at various times, and then for a month to two it will be stable. I dropped over 20 on the last round, from above 7900 to well below 7900. I know the one time I knew of someone asking to leave the Library with all their stories etc I never thought that would include comments.

However numbers are simply an interesting stat and although nice to know are not all that important.
