One of my favorite authors here at the LSF is ruegirl (aka Rue Chapman, as she's known on her books at LSF Publications). For those here not familiar with her work, check out "The Oldest Profession," or "The Party," or "Serious Incident At Lake George." There are far too many gems, though to mention them all. Do some exploring on your own.

Alas, ruegirl is not an active author or active member here at the present time. Her stories, though, continue to charm her readers, though, with the result that she has recently received her two thousandth story comment. That statistic is even more amazing when you consider that virtually all of her stories were loaded here before the 2010 "comment surge."

Even if she is unlikely to see the accolades directed her way on this thread, I still encourage her everyone to let us all know how much her work is appreciated.

Way to go rue!

As a fellow Australian, I offer my congratulations to Rue and hope she returns and sees it here.

I have always loved Rue's work and had the pleasure of meeting her several years ago at Lake George. In fact, we shared a caravan - or trailer, as the Americans would have it. She is just as crazy and lovable as many of her fictional heroines. Congratulations, Ruegirl!

I also met Linda and Rue at Lake George, and we had a wonderful time. Congrats on a milestone, my friend. If I could recommend....one of my favorite stories is by her and available as an e-book, titled Mail Order Mayhem. I highly recommend it.

I spoke to rue a few times online and always got the impression that she'd be the same in person as she was online and the same as some of the heroines from some of her stories.

Ruegirl is one of my very favorites, along with Saradora and Linda. It really saddens me that she and Saradora don't appear to post anymore, but I re-read their stories often. Thankfully, Linda is still here, as I thoroughly enjoy her as well. When I need a laugh, or to be swept into a delightfully realistic world, or just to feel good again (which is often), I can always depend on these ladies.
