Congrats on your milestone, Janine. I always enjoy your stories, since your writing is smart and funny. Your comments are similarly well thought out. As The Most Interesting Man In The World almost said, "I don't always read spanking stories, but when I do, I read Janine's."
Speaking of LSF milestones, I have often wondered: When is the correct time to thank everyone for their effusive and complimentary posts? Is it after 20 posts? 30 posts? 50? Or should one wait a requisite number of days? If so, are 2 days long enough? 3 days? 5? Specifically, when should the achiever of the milestone take a minute to modestly peek out from his or her shower of LSF affection, nod and wave to the assembled masses, and then go back to doing whatever it was that got them to that milestone in the first place?
I imagine one doesn't want to do it too quickly, because then you might have to go back and do it again after the next 10 or 20 complimentary posts. And you don't want to wait too long, because then some people might have stopped reading the thread, and will think you never responded at all, and that the achieved milestone might have gone to your head.
Based on my current statistics, there's little chance that I will ever have to worry about these issues. But I do wonder about them. So - no pressure, Janine, but since you are a top-flight commenter, author, validator, etc. etc. whose opinion I respect- when IS the right time to respond?
Or maybe i'll just see how long it takes you to acknowledge this thread, and use that as my guide.
Goodness, I have rambled on for so long that I've forgotten what I was congratulating you for. Whatever it was, hip hip hooray!
