NJ! You have poor initials for higher management I am afraid! CJ or JR would have given you a much better chance of promotion. As it is your initials lack authority! And surely we can't have a PA in charge either as her initials stand for Personal Assistant!

I think they're thin potato slices fried in fat (deep fried) with a generous amount of salt when done. A potato chip of sorts.

Crisps are potato chips. Chips here and in the UK are what you get with fish when you order fish and chips from the fish and chip shop. Who let Her Pinkness take time off from her non paid job?

Well I have seen Crisps up here on the rare occasion, (actually boxes marked with the name, I looked around for Pink and Flopsy but they were no where to be seen.) Anyway they do not look anything like potato chips we buy in the bag.

I agree with Seegee chips are what you get with fish, except in Canada we call them 'fries'. The crisps I saw look more like a fancy cracker to me.

Friday night after I had enjoyed a few pre weekend "pops" (the ones that come in brown bottles) I tried to say "crisps" ten times.

It was very difficult.

A potato chip by any other name is still easier to pronounce.

No, no, no... not in Ms. Thrashbottom's charge... just "In Charge."

@CK:

Yeah, baby! Wouldn't that be cool!

So what you're trying to tell me (to paraphrase my good buddy Bill), is, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some just have the wrong initials?" Hmmm... doesn't seem fair Definitely not the way we're accustomed to doing things here in the US of A.
