It is great to see another member enter the 2K club. Such dedication and effort is worthy of note and a great deal of praise and thanks Great work tfs, now we can all work on heading toward a 3K club. Oh, the work of a commenter is never done.

Welcome to the club tfs. The library staff has one of those wonderful overstuffed leather chairs waiting for you. Have a cigar. Drink? Newspaper? Tawse?

As is the case with PhilK, tfs is another prodigious commenter and author in his own right. Appreciate your commentary very much, tfs. 2000 is one hell of a milestone.

I would also like to add my own congratulations on tfs's achievement, all the more impressive when one considers his considerable output as an author as well. I have been the lucky recipient of quite a few of his comments, and they have always been thoughtful, appreciative and encouraging. Many congratulations on reaching such an outstanding milestone.

Congrats, tfs! Having notched up a mere 50% of your impressive total, I can appreciate the amount of time and trouble you've put in. Yes, it's a shame more readers don't comment, but - as the late Kurt Vonnegut would put it - so it goes....

Thank you all for your kind words. I can honestly say that in the course of writing those 2000+ comments I cannot think of one story I've read that wasn't entertaining! When I first joined the library, I read in silence; believing that if I wasn't an author I had no business commenting on the work of those who were.

After receiving an "encouraging" note from the librarians, I began to make comments on the stories I was reading and that led me to think that if I could write a comment, maybe I could also write a story or two. I've often wondered if the same was true for anyone else.

In any event, I can report that the overstuffed chair is very comfortable; the liquor of excellent caliber; the cigars very smooth and the lovely leather tawse with my initials engraved in gold is a real cracker!
