Though I joined over a year ago, I only recently began submitting stories. My first was rejected (and I am a pretty good writer!), which told me that the standards here are pretty high.
Indeed, I have probably read about 50 stories in the 4 days since I have been "An Author," and NONE has disappointed me.
So... long story short... I would be happy to volunteer to help in any manner the editors ("editrix??") would find useful. I am reasonably proficient with databases, spreadsheet, and such, which might be useful for keyword and story typing.
I also have a well-developed sense of humor, which causes me to say... perhaps if I and other volunteers do their jobs particularly well, we can 1) write a computer program that automatically reads and categorizes the stories; 2) rates them and generates constructive comments, and 3) then writes new stories with the rules that it has learned.
Then we can all retire from the board, sit on the beach, and drink beer! |
