Just plugging a new ebook: Carnacki Correctional Institute for Women. Yes, the name "Carnacki" was borrowed from the Simon R. Green novels, and Simon R. Green borrowed it from William Hope Hodgson's short stories published between 1910 and 1912. No, the name has nothing to do with the story, other than being an odd sounding name to use for a correctional institute.

Basic synopsis:
Jane is a recent graduate with a degree in Journalism. She is desperate to get a "real job" so when she hears a rumour about a former teen starlet (think a Lindsey Lohan type) being locked up in the Carnacki Correctional Institute for Women she is desperate to get an interview. Alas, a male relative talks her out of trying to infiltrate the place, but luckily a friend gives a new idea and she goes with it. Of course the Carnacki Correctional Institute for Women has corporal punishment, the way those faux Victorian novels did. Including a vaguely named "Discipline Night", which is worse than it sounds.

(Note: a significant different version was posted on a Yahoo Group, but that group has since died the death of all Yahoo Groups. This is the only version currently posted.)
