This story of mine's got everything ... birdwatching, the Scottish school strap, lots of bad weather and even more Scottish dialect which took me absolutely ages to research. Reason I'm plugging it is due to to the comments I've received from it being found via "Lucky Dip". And I think it has one of my best endings!

It really is a delightful story, and certainly one of my favourites.

I always enjoy Neil's stories, so when he plugged one of his older stories, despite still ploughing my way through the Challenge entries, I just had to take a look. I am glad I did. I would heartily recommend it. Like Alan I have added it to my favourites.

I remember seeing this while viewing the activities in the LSF. It was indeed a good story, Neil.
