Your personal favourite

I think we should pause to pay tribute to our esteemed colleague NJRick. While many of us have been drawn into this shameful orgy of self-plugging, he has resisted the temptation.

We could, of course, help him by all nominating our favorite Rick Marlowe story...

Sure, why not?

Of course, with me being a F/M aficiando and him being primarily a M/F-oriented writer, my choices were somewhat limited.

However, I'll go with "Kindred Spirits" (F/b) as my favorite of his, notably via a boy's maternal spanking (bare-bottom with a Ping-Pong paddle) contributing to two other younger females sharing their enjoyment of his chastisement, thereby hopefully starting them both on the pathway to becoming spanko-dominant women.

"Ricky's Babysitter" (f/b) would be my runner-up among Rick Marlowe's works, since I enjoy babysitting stories, plus the idea of being soundly spanked by a Goth female strikes me as intriguing.

My favourite submission is Grimoire, a story that owes its existence to the LSF, having been written in response to this year's Theft Challenge.

Without the impetus of that challenge, that story would still just be a diffuse mist of dreams drifting around my head. The LSF prompted me to condense those delightful visions into words, and share them.

I'm 3 1/2 years self-plug-free. Nothing is going to change.

My personal favorite is "Tough Choices." It was one of my earliest submissions and ended up as my highest commented and faved story by readers. Not only was it fun to write, but it was one of those stories that practically wrote itself--a true blessing for a writer who frequently faces writer's block!


So many from which to choose! But I would pick "An Unappreciative Reader Learns Her Lesson." It reigned as top commented story for ages, and with good reason. It is funny, clever in concept, and imparts a warning for those readers who refuse to comment on LSF stories!

On a more serious note, "Finding Emma" is moving and memorable - an interesting story and well worth a read.

I suppose I should rise to my own challenge. It is an impossible task, and I am just going to nominate a few stories that have made a special impression. The long and untypically dark "Finding Emma" is one, "Katja" is another (I admit it can be seen as the middle aged man's favorite fantasy), and "A Canoe Trip" seems to be strangely neglected.

I'd have to say my favorite Rick Marlowe stories are "What Makes Him Tick" and "Having It All".

How did this turn into the Rick Marlowe show anyway? lol
