Next week I think I'm going to post the first of a short series of stories and little serials about a women's reformatory, Bleakdale Grange. I'm tickled by the idea of using typical English girls' boarding school story plots: bullies discomfited, snobby posh girls coming good, mysterious lights on the playing fields at night, etc; but with adult schoolgirls instead of teenagers. Although the first one will just be a largely plotless series of punishments I'm afraid. |
