It struck me today that this site is very different from many forums and blogs in that I have never seen one single poll here. In other places polls are a regular occurrence though sometimes overdone and tedious. But the occasional poll can be very entertaining and informative. Has anyone on the staff ever considered installing a poll feature?

The reason I ask is that I have some very nagging questions brewing in my twisted little mind.....and I wonder if taking a poll from the readers here could answer these gnawing queries very directly.

I'm sure we'd welcome people of all nationalities.

As long as the answers involves less then 4 words and I can make spanking paddles by connecting the dots. I ran into a pole once and the police asked lots of questions, is it the same thing...if so I don't think my insurance company will like it one bit and I must refuse

I like polls, I do loads of them on Facebook, so ask away, and do ignore the awful jokes, what is it about men and those type of jokes I wonder?

It sounds as if you had some specific questions that you wanted airing, kdpierre. Such as?

The little boy in you, you mean, NJ. Some of us aim for a higher, more cerebral type of humour!

I think there needs to be a poll about that:

[ ] I think blimp aims for a higher, more cerebral type of humour

[ ] I think blimp is full of hot air

[ ] Who cares? Just send him to Ms Thrashbottom for a spanking

[ ] I don't have an opinion because I'm brain-dead.

[ ] Who's blimp?

Well, males have such terribly negative images as immature, loutish, irresponsible hedonists, concerned primarily with sex, alcohol, big-screen TVs and video games, that I suppose a few of us figure that there's nothing to lose by 'living down' to the stereotypes perpetuated by Madison Avenue, Hollywood and television producers.

Yes, there's always a 'little boy' within a male's psyche too, but some little boys can be caring and considerate--on occasion, anyway... --C.K.

The answer to NJ's poll is obviously option 3.

Apparently so. These results just in from this scientific poll:

I think blimp aims for a higher, more cerebral type of humour
1 1.1%

I think blimp is full of hot air
19 21.6%

Who cares? Just send him to Ms Thrashbottom for a spanking
54 61.4%

I don't have an opinion because I'm brain-dead.
6 6.8%

Who's blimp?
8 9.1%
