To the 47 library members in New Zealand, I wish you well. I just read about the most recent earthquake in Christchurch, with expected loss of life. I hope you and your loved ones are all safe. I spent a year in your beautiful country, including a swing through Christchurch on a tour of the South Island. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Thank you Beth83, although I'm an Aucklander and far from the area affected by the quake, my heart also goes out to the people of Christchurch and the surrounding areas, who have been through so much in the last few months with previous quakes and aftershocks.

I hope you guys are all ok. The South Island and Christchurch in particular are so beautiful.

Oh boy I only just got up here in England and the first thing I saw when I switched the TV on was all about the terrible earthquake in and around Christchurch, and that 65 people were killed. My first thoughts were for my new Author friend Jools, and I got on here fast to find out if she and her loved ones were ok.

Thank God she was already here, but like everyone else my heart and prayers go out to all those poor people effected, and I pray there will be no more victims.
