Let's hope it's not the lead in his pencil!

Or his spankering arm!

Or his bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream Tragedy

The last two nights its been about -10C, and its going to be cold again tonight. Its just not English weather, up till last year the last few winters have been so mild I didn't even bother to lift my dahlias and they all survived!

About a month ago, it snowed for the first time this winter here in the Stockholm area. One of my fellow students at the job training program which I am attending, exclaimed - "Oh boy! Just look at all that free coke out there, guys! C´mon, let´s have a party!"

Now that guy was rather depraved, don´t you think? At least if he meant it seriously?

I am so sympathetic for all you W. Europeans! Life get's basic in a major snow storm. I was reading in the NY Times today how bad it is and the writer was trying to figure out why only one runway was open at Heathrow saying that Moscow and NY would have been open under the circumstance and the 'white stuff' would be hardly noticed. Don't you believe it! My countrymen squeal like freshly spanked girls at the least little inconvenience and do so loudly!

So. What to do? Poor your favorite libation, fire up a bowl, and grab your woman: then take the rest of the day off and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow......................................................

Would that that were true but alas these days my wallet provides little in the way of padding, containing only a £1.50 Tesco Clubcard voucher and a free coffee and pastry token for John Lewis cafeterias.

I should never have left Hewlett Packard to provide Tech Support to the LSF, they told me it was career suicide but I wouldn't listen. Now I can barely afford a new pair of slippers.

But the older, more limber ones work SO much better.

Sympathise with you guys over there. It's a La Nina year, so here in LaForge which is in the Cascades, we are buried. It's a white Xmas and the way it's going maybe a white 4th of July.
