Last Night CP startle

I'm re-watching the Mat Smith Dr. Who collection and I totally forgot the CP startle in the Dr River mini episode Last Night when River Asks if the Dr. will spank her. I really needed that reminder that there were good things in the world and that there will be again.

Wasn't there also an episode where Amy Pond declared, "Companions don't flirt", after one companion told another companion, "I should put you over my knee"?

Or has my imagination taken over my memory?

There’s been a few in Dr Who, going back as far as the first Doctor who suggested that one of companions needed a smacked bottom.

If I remember correctly, the First Doctor says it to Susan (his teenage granddaughter) in the final episode of 'The Dalek Invasion of Earth' (titled 'Flashpoint').

I think the first Doctor (played by a different actor as William Hartnell had passed away) says it to Bill Potts (Bill is a female too, if you’re wondering). Billie Piper’s Rose also tells Chris Ecclestone’s Doctor that he’s heading the right way for a smack.

It's from the first episode of The Dalek Invasion of Earth. He says "What you need is a jolly good smacked bottom!"

He says that in the same episode where he leaves Susan behind so she can marry the man that she has fallen in love with.

Yes, she's still young enough for punishment spankings but old enough for marrying. At least when that episode was filmed.

Statements like that happened in a few British shows of the time. In the show Father Dear Father the 16 yo daughter attempts run away from home, when she gets busted she asks if she’s too old for a good spanking and the firm answer from her father is no she’s not.
